Oreilly J. is a photographer who was born in Nice and is currently in the second year of studying technique in photography in Roubaix. Before moving there in 2008, she had been studying the arts for a number of years, including fine art, applied art, and art history. Her years spent studying the fine arts have resulted in her photographs emphasizing an almost obsessive attention to detail, which is paralleled only by her unique use of color and texture to find a story and to tell this story to an audience. This story that her photographs search for looks through subtext that underlines our everyday experience, bringing to light the asymmetrical beauty that we miss during our quotidian lives. Through this, she explores her own personal nightmares, her own phobias and anxieties, providing a cathartic output that adds a greater depth to her images.
